About Julia

Hi, I’m Julia, a Trainee Counselling Psychologist completing my Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at the University of Roehampton. I also hold a Master of Science in Psychology. Before training in psychology, I worked in the visual arts, public sector, and charity management in Australia and England. These roles taught me the value of listening deeply, understanding diverse perspectives, and supporting people through change and challenge—skills that naturally feed into my counselling practice. They also gave me insight into how people create meaning, adapt, and find resilience, which continues to inform how I support clients today. I have clinical experience working in community settings, including supporting adults experiencing cancer-related emotional distress, as well as carers and families affected by bereavement and anticipated loss.

What to Expect

People often come to counselling during times when life feels overwhelming, uncertain, or when they are navigating loss or change. I aim to offer a space where these experiences can be explored, walking alongside you at your own pace.

Let's Connect

Reaching out for support can feel like a big step. If you’re looking for a space that feels thoughtful, supportive, and understanding, I’d be glad to explore working together.
